Post the links given to you by Google. They'll track all the work you do.

Is this ad for real. I signed up and I have not received any links to post. Is that something that comes through the mail. I wonder because Rapid City doesn't have a Tribune. Is Google lying?

First of all, we don't have a Tribune in Ottawa either. It's a site made to look like it's from a newspaper. They cleverly look at your IP and insert your town's name in the heading and in the text.

I clicked on the link but "the offer is not available in your area". Guess because I'm in Canada.

But obviously they are talking about Adsense. That's the only way I know of that Google would pay you money. Adsense is Google's program where you place code on your web site which will display Adwords ads, Google's advertising program.

I presume this site is trying to fool people who don't know any better to install their Adsense account link on your web site. Everyone clicking on the ads will make money for them, not you. In other words, if that's the case, don't do it. Register your own Adsense account.

So I apply for the adsense account and put links on my own web site and they will pay me. Do they actually give me the links to post or do I have to go through and get them from clickbank and paydot?

I'm no Adsense expert. But basically, you open an account (it's free), Google assigns a unique ID to you as well as the snippet of code (containing your ID) that you plug into your site. There's no "posting" involved, whatever you mean by posting. You don't have to do anything if you don't want to. Simply develop a site, get traffic to it, people click on ads on your site they are interested in, Google sends you money. Remember that you get paid only when visitors clicks on ads. I believe they send a check once a month if you accrue at least $100.

I suggest if you are interested to read what information Google has on their Adsense site. Forums such as this one are likely to clear up some things too.

Thank You for explaining that to me, it makes sense now. And I did check out the info, I guess they review your application one week from when you applied. the deal with the $1.97 ad is information as to how to use the Adsense, which has a lot of good information on how to drive traffic to your website.
