1: i am using a theme which have 10 posts at main page .. how can i increase this limit? i wanna show 20 or more posts at main page is it possible? if yes how ? dont waanna show my remaining posts on other page 2: i have 2 pages :1:Main, 2:What is Google Adsense, i dont wanna show what is google adsense page posts at main page is it possible ? means dont want to mix posts 3: i have 2 categories , xp tips ,window 7 tips , dont want to show window 7 posts at main page , i wanna show these posts when some one goes to window 7 category ..means dont want to mix posts 4:i have 10 posts in a category how to show selected posts at top ?for example 5th posts at top in category... sorry for bad english
In your dashboard go to Settings->Writing and set to a larger number. If you are saying that you don't what to show any more than 10 posts, then delete the others or use a plug in like this to delete them for you: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/auto-delete-posts/ Use your custom menu for categories. Use your custom menu for categories Change the date. Wordpress displays posts in order of date.

Sorry, I should have said Settings->Reading If your theme supports custom menus you can use categories: http://templatic.com/news/wordpress-3-0-menu-management I don't know if there is a plug in. I didn't search for one and I wouldn't use a plug in for such a simple task.
I think #4 is how to show "featured" posts. Some themes will have the ability to use the "sticky this post" feature when it gets published. Anything you sticky will then get pulled into the Loop for the featured posts area. That Loop will keep track of the ID numbers of those posts so that they will get excluded from the main loop below it. I am not aware of any plugins that do this for you.
1st and 4h solved........thankx 2,3 i dont know how tu use custom menu.. my theme already have this .. but when i create it .it removes my existing pages and categories , i wanna ask why u said me to use sustom menu what is benefit of it ?
Custom menus will allow you to create the navigation that you want, using the parameters that you want. Please read what I have provided ,or Google your own article to understand how to use them.
