This is Lijit. They are a reputed network with high eCPM rate but low fill rate. Try them out if your site meets their requirements. Here's a detailed review of Lijit Ad Network -> http://adsreview.in/lijit-publisher-network-review/

I had terrible luck with them. Their fill rate sucked at an amazing level.

I dont know if everyone realizes why they get such high eCPM's (Lijit)...Its because they only take the best of the best of the best inventory which is really to say hey you have a $0.30 eCPM but we only filled 700 impressions out of 50,000. Which in retrospect every network could accomplish this if they don't provide a 100% fill. Certain geo's are certainly worth the eCPM but when most aren't thats why your averages dump hard.

Yea, I figured that was what was going on. It's why eCPM isn't the end all be all. Other networks radically under-report impressions. Fill Rate, % of impressions reported, eCPM. The most important number is how much $ do you come out with in a day.

Yeah its horrible business tactics. The reason why similar networks have really blown up is the perception. People perceive it as a network which pays a lot because they see eCPM = 0.30+ what they don't see is the fact that they don't actually get passed back every impression when its not filled, making it so easy for companies to skim 3 - 10% of your inventory with out anyone even seeing it.

There are a few things I believe in when it comes to this industry. Fill Rate, Base Rate, Honesty, and Support. Those are the 4 most important factors. Even more so than how much $ you come out with in a day. A network who really can master these 4 things can start by filling all of their impressions at a base rate which is still comfortable to the publisher, honestly report the numbers, and honestly provide support which should yield better results in the long term. Which relates to what you said - How much $ you come out with in a day.

Also - Honestly Marketing. Not a lot of networks, including the small middle-men on here who call themselves networks badly up sell themselves as something they are not, then use their position as leverage to hold publishers in place. Thats a horrible way to do business.

I can go on and on.

Hey, drop in CPM is fine after New Year, because Advertisers have to make new fiscal budgets and then advertise. There is no reason to panic.
