Hey , thanks for the comment, the truth is I dont care about how high PR it got, it was just surprised how quickly it happen. In the past years , the cutoff time was at least 1 month. Whicdh means if you created site in less than 30 days before the PR update, your new site did not gret any PR that time around. In my case, post created few days before the update got PR. That was new to me. And yes , owning few PR7 and several PR6 websites, I think I know how to maintain mere PR4. Appreciate the advice though.
Thanks, even now,2 weeks after Amy Winehouse died, and my post ranking around middle of 2nd page for her name, still gets about 25-35 hits a day.
It depends on the topic, if it's a much searched topic and becomes viral, don't be surprised if the PR shoots, but it could go down when people stop searching for it
It happened with my site as well. I published a new post ( about the websites swagbucks) about a week ago and now it has P4. And whats more interesting is the fact that it even beats my homepage PR which is 3. In my case, I think it was due to lots of backlinking that I did after posting that post, by commenting on other blogs that use Comluv plugin (it shows a link to your last blog post at the end of your comment). Those pages I commented on were all high ranking and my comluv backlinks were dofollow. So, I think that was the reason for my post getting pr 4 in a short amount of time. But, I could be totally wrong. I would be interested in hearing other people's theories.
