One randomly selected comment will be chosen as winner and $100 will be sent to commenter's PayPal or MoneyBookers account. Spammy, offensive, off-topic comments and comments just saying "great post" or similar will be deleted and won't enter into the contest.
Hi just wanna suggest, how bout making the contest become top commentator contest? I think it will drive more comment traffic better than to pick winner randomly
Yes, that is true, top commentator contest could drive more quality comments than random picking the winner. I thought that random choice of winner could motivate more people to comment, but it seems I was wrong - after first day of a contest there is only one comment posted. There will probably be low number of comments in the end and that means that those who do comment will have greater chance of winning $100, so what are you waiting for? Take that $100! Each comment equals one entry into the contest.
The winner will be randomly chosen, but if after 20 days there is low number of comments and 50% are from same person - that person will have 50% chance to win, so in that case it will be a lot like: who comments the most - wins. But the winner will still be randomly chosen.
