First let me say that I think PostAffiliatePro is great software. I did my homework and tried a few demos and I was convinced that PAP had everything I needed. My only concern was the complaints about support. I was encouraged by a number of forum posts and reviews that said that they had overcome their support issues so I thought I would give them a try. I chose their hosted plan because I assumed that there was no way they were going to let their servers go down and if there is a problem with their software they would be able to fix it quicker on their server than I would be able to on mine. So far so good. What I didn't take into account was their billing system and how QualityUnit handles issues then a problem arises. One month after signing up I got an e-mail that there was a problem with my credit card. This is the same card that we use for thousands of dollars of Google and Microsoft Adcenter payments every month so I know the card is not the problem. So I changed the credit card on file with QualityUnit. Different card, different issuer, different bank, everything should be OK, right. Nope. They shut down my account at 3AM on Christmas morning. An hour later I got an e-mail from QualityUnit saying that there was a problem with my new card and that my account would be suspended if I didn't do something about it. Really? To their credit I was able to reach QualityUnit customer support via chat and 2Checkout (their payment processor) via phone on Christmas day. QualityUnit said the problem the problem was between 2Checkout and the bank that issued the credit card. 2Checkout said the problem was definitely caused by the bank. So I asked the QualityUnit support person if they could unsuspend my account until I could resolve the problem with the bank. He said he couldn't do that. I offered to pay using PayPal or check. Can't do that. I offered to pay for the entire year in advance. The system doesn't allow that. So I waited for two days until the bank opened again. They looked up the transaction and found that it had been submitted with an invalid CVV code. I took this information to 2Checkout and they said that they can't (by law) store CVV codes so a subscription or recurring transaction will never be submitted with a CVV code. They guy at 2Checkout was really nice and he could see that I was getting screwed by this. So he sent an e-mail to QualityUnit explaining the problem and he suggested that QualityUnit unsuspend my account while the issue was resolved. Magically, my account goes live again and I get an e-mail from QualityUnit saying that they successfully charged my credit card. Hooray! End of problem, right? Nope. Exactly one month later my account is suspended again. I contacted QualityUnit support again and explained the whole thing to them. The guy said that the problem was that the credit card issuer was requiring a CVV code when it shouldn't. Well, what about my other card? He said that card had the same problem. So how do I resolve the problem. He said I should apply for a different credit card with a different bank. Honestly, I would do that if I thought there was any chance of it working. But I know it won't. So QualityUnit has software that I want to buy. And I have money that I want to give them. And there doesn't seem to be any way to make that happen. Bizarre. So I have closed my PostAffiliatePro account (which is a real drag since I spent two weeks setting it up) and I am back in the market for affiliate software (and writing apologetic letters to my affiliates). Here's what I would like to have seen happen: - When a billing problem occurs, don't treat your customers as if they are trying to defraud you. Use your brains. Why would a customer spend weeks customizing a PostAffiliatePro installation and then try to defraud you of $39 a month? It doesn't make any sense. Start by assuming that your customers are acting in good faith. - Don't make your customers pay for limitations in your system. By offering to pay for an entire year by PayPal or check I was making a legitimate attempt to resolve the problem. I know that you don't normally accept those forms of payment but it's not like your building would burst into flames if you took my money and unsuspended my account. Make an exception. Deal with the problem. Your accounting department would be grumpy for five minutes and then they would get over it. - Don't leave your customers without a way forward other than walking away. Take ownership of the problem. I was expecting to hear something like "We work 2Checkout all the time. Can you hang on for two minutes while I call Fred at 2Checkout? I have never seen this kind of problem before but I am sure he has. At the very least he will be able to tell us how to proceed." Or maybe "The owner of the company is in his office down the hall. I am sure he will be able to suggest a solution or make an exception such that we can accept your payment another way." Instead I get "You need to apply for a different credit card to pay for our services." This may or may not work and your account will be suspended until you get it to work.
I'm very sorry for your bad experience with our payment processor and answers of our support. I will instruct our support to unsuspend accounts in troubles even for whole week to allow customers to resolve the problems with credit cards. We use 2checkout payment processor quite long time and they do pretty good job in most of transactions. With CVV code we had problems also in Quality Unit (our own credit cards failed between 27th December until 31st December) and our Google Adwords account was suspended too. Guys from Google told us, that it is global problem and multiple banks in the world did this change because of recommendation from MasterCard and VISA. Seems like more banks declined orders without CVV code. e.g. our bank removed the restriction for CVV code in recurring orders just shortly before New Year. In each case I understand your disappointment. Can I offer you as small compensation? e.g. I can assign any feature for free to your license. I don't care if you will select additional feature, which cost $100 or more. Just send me PM or email directly to our support and mention, that Viktor Zeman told you, that you should receive any feature for free. If you need still any help with integration, I can offer you even Full Integration Service, which cost $199 for free. Thank you for understanding.
I see you already closed your account ... I didn't realized it, when I wrote last answer. So my new offer is, that I can offer you downloadable license of PAP Xpress for free. You can install it on your own server and use without any additional expenses or monthly payments. I feel terrible for your experience and want to help you to start with affiliate marketing even if I will not earn single dollar from it.
It's always a good idea to have some feedback (and repeatedly) from users of a product before delving in
Well, now 3 years later I can say that not much has changed in their intentions. Post Affiliate Pro and Post Affiliate Network is still full of outstandings in bugs and missing required as heplful features. Developing support seem to stay in the same like slowly opportunity like all the years before and in many cases they did'nt adapted to useful features needed today in many usually things. Actually you still can see in their forums lot of disputes between them and customers. And as it looks like almost each discussion is a waste of time. In good intention of hope it might change someday still won't bless the even the actual situation support and progress of QualityUnit. They might could have better reports if they would make their support and progresses working in a time that's normal by developing and supporting some things faster. But it still semm also they don't want to do.
Here is a review on post affiliate pro which is not good at all - "I like a lot of online business owners needed to find a good affiliate program for my business. One of the cheaper ones that drew my eye in was Post affiliate Pro or AKA quality unit because of their free trial. Unfortunately I shortly came to find out there is nothing quality about them. From the beginning I found their program to have the most horrible and unimpressive navigation. You have a hard time finding things because the set up is just a mess. When you email support it takes 2 to 3 days to get a response and when you do they don’t answer questions they send you to an article link to their blog which is even more confusing and impossible to understand. I had multiple problems that were never addressed by their staff. My affiliates had multiple complaints as well that were never addressed by quality unit. After a few months of using them and building my affiliate base up to a large amount of about 200 affiliates, I found myself locked out of my account. I selected the forgot password feature and never received a reply. Several days had passed and I sent repeated emails to the quality unit support team with no response. I began having several affiliates emailing us complaining they were also locked out of their account. This was a business disaster. So after several attempts to contact Post affiliate Pro I decided to file a complaint through paypal for a refund. Quality Unit took my money 3 days ago through my paypal monthly subscription yet I’ve been locked out for 8 days and they won’t respond to emails. Unless you want to throw away money and possibly destroy your business I would stay far away from quality Unit. Conclusion I decided to go ahead save myself over $100 and purchase idevaffiliate and boy am I glad I did. Their software is way more user friendly and although you don’t get the support which is initially why I opted to pay the $20 a month fee to Post affiliate pro, It really is no different because they never provided support anyways. Your better off saving your money and going with idevaffiliate. Post Affiliate Pro aka Qaulity Unit is the worst software program with the worst customer support. Don’t waste your hard earned money on them and risk ruining your business."
Post affiliate Pro is a total scam. They closed my account after taking my payment with no refund, no response and i lost 2000 affiliates. They locked everyone out for no reason , just took the money and ran. I was with them for several months and had a horrible time figuring out there crappy software. They are a horrible company. do not waste your time or money. go with IDEV affiliate. It's much better and post affiliate pro doesn't give you support anyways. They send you to their blog whenever you have a question and make you read more.
