I gave negetive twice, once to AC by mistake. (I still owe him on that one) Once to someone that I thought got in my way on something. That was an over reaction.

I doubt I'll use it anymore since I'm not competent enough to.

 

I gave AC negative rep by mistake, too... and before that I did the same to Summer... it's a lucky thing I immediately PM'd her to let her know because she was about to kick my ass

 

I PM'd AC as well, I felt like a dork. Two choices and I blew it!

Honestly, I have been a little annoyed about this here too....

I have gotten more bad rep here than anywhere else on the web....

I'm pretty sure I have recieved two or three bad reps in my entire existance on the web....

But here at DP, I have got atleast 4 visible as we speak in my control panel....

I have even been directly insulted (direct name calling) in the control panel by viewing the notes...

Big time turn off to the board in general in my opinion.

What DID happen? I have this image of bikers repping each other to death in some sort of cyber turf war...

There is definetly some real issues here....

 

I just gave you some positive "green rep" to help offset the moron in question.

I do think the reputation system has some value, personally, but I also agree thoroughly that it can be abused, as in this case. It should be used to "punish" behavior, such as tone or language of a post, NOT as an attempt to censor something a member says, as in this case. I don't have to agree with your opinion. I shouldn't feel that I need to "punish" everyone who posts an opinion with which I don't agree, though...

If someone doesn't have the gonads to publicly state, "I disagree with what you're saying here", or even "frankly, clasione, I think you're full of it", that's just gutless. I don't know anything about the history of what you did to annoy people here -- to be honest, I read your first post above and just shrugged, because what do I know? But for someone to give you additional negative rep for saying, "I think this is unfair" is ridiculous. It's either cowardice or maybe someone's twisted sense of humor but either way it isn't right.
