Not sure if anyone else is watching the Cowboys - Titans game but OMG....did you see:

Albert Haynesworth (DT-Ten) take Andre Gurode's(C-Dal) helmet off, kick him in the head with his cleat, NOT ONCE but TWICE!!

the 2nd time sliced the side of Andre's face and Haynesworth ejected but can you beleive that???

I hope he gets at least a 4 game suspension but I doubt it'll be more than 1 or 2 games.

Have you ever heard or seen anything like that before?

    _________________________________________________________

EDIT: the gash(es) required several stitches - not sure if it'll ever get posted anywhere (the video)

snippet from DC website blog (nickeatman):

As for Haynesworth, forget the fine, that’s a few games suspension right there. That’s too bad. He’s a good player, but are you kidding me? What is crazier, the act in itself or the fact that he was upset about getting a penalty and kicked out? Did he think that is Ok?

As for Gurode, the Cowboys are saying he had several stitches to repair multiple lacerations around the left eye. He’s back on the sidelines, but it’s doubtful he’ll get back in there.

These guys make so much money, fines and suspensions mean nothing as a consequence. The example they set for younger players is not one we should want kids exposed to either.

Stuff like that should end careers. After all, since these guys went to college, they have something to fall back on, right? LMAO

    I agree on both points.

It'll be interesting what the league's take on it will be but jeez, he could have blinded him!!

I think he should be banned at least for a year.

    The gashes required 30 stitches

and it was done in such a way that Gurode didn't see it coming, totally defenseless...

    a totally gutless act

thanks for the link, the video is youtubed above .

yeah, I think a lot of people share that same feeling that the year would have been more appropriate.

so no fine then - weird???
I think @ least $25K should be tacked onto the suspension, community service, anger management, something!!

Well, suspensions are without pay. So if he's out 5 games, in a 20 game season (4 preseason + 16 regular), he's out 25% of his paycheck for the year. I dunno this guy's salary, but it could be a million dollar hit if he's a high paid player.

    :D :D

"During high school, I played junior hockey and still hold two league records: most time spent in the penalty box; and I was the only guy to ever take off his skate and try to stab somebody."
