Possible to make $500 a month with adsense?

Does anyone here actually make that much?

And how did you get your website out in the public eye to make that much?

yes it's possible, actually much more than that is possible

 

took me a month maybe....

you can read tips and all but 80% of it is pure luck in my opinion

is buying an adsense site a bad idea?

I see a lot of these adsense sites for sale on eBay...Some already estalished supposedly!

Sorry for all the questions... I just need as much knowledge as possible.

 

If you really want to make some decent adsense cash quickly I would suggest you;

1/ Buy an old domain, older the better, one that has never expired, has some pr/backlinks
2/ Write content or pay someone to write unique content for it
3/ Once done add some new links to the site - directories/asking etc

Depending on the niche you could be making $10-$50 per day quite quickly but getting the right domain can cost from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. If you can buy an old domain buy an new one and be prepared for a long wait of up to a year for half decent income.imo

 

$500/month is a very very reachable goal. Some people pull in more like $500/day (but not me).

 

My point of view is 500$ is reachable but it takes time however atlast all depends on Individuals.

Can you please elaborate this point, I mean what things to consider and how to do it properly and where to get it and things like this and some precautions will be helpful.

Takes a bit of work, I bought recently;

1996 pr6 law website
1997 directory website
1998 domain with traffic of 4k/month (now its over 1k a day)
1998 computer domain name
1999 pr6 music/mp3 related domain name

All of the above instantly earn money and can easily be increased in income, finding them & negotiating for them is hard work.

Once you find a domain/site;
You should check the whois and look for the record creation date, I prefer pre 2000, ie Record created on 15-Jul-1996

Also check archive.org to see how the domain has been used - make sure it has a clean history and wasn't used for porn etc Make sure it does have history though - the more the better.

Check its backlinks and see if it still has any, old backlinks are always good to have.

Check to see if its in dmoz/yahoo directory - not really needed but always a plus.

All of the above is just my opinion based on my own dealings.

$500 a day and more is very possible, but it isn't easy or a get rich quick scheme.

 

I see that there are old domains that can be bought but what about new sites... In my case, I recently signed up with blogger.com to have a blog. How long would it take to get me there..

I have already exchanged links with other like minded blogs. Recently, I noticed a googlebot crawl in my stats. What else could be done to generate large traffic.

 

You would need lots of visitors, to reach over $500.

When I had adsense, I had 100-200 visitors per-day and I made $1-$2 perday from it. I would assume for me to reach the over $500 I would of need 2000 to 3000 vistors perday.

 

$500 a month is possible, but one site might not get you there.

 

I get a massive change in income through the seasons - travel sites

Some guy tried to buy one of my domains. I merged both of my domains by redirecting one. I told him no thanks. Right now I'm on track to make about $800 this month. Last month I made $350+ but I started in April. I have an urban entertainment/gossip site so it's moderate traffic site. I was going to go with a porn site but there's lots of interest in gossip. J/K

500 a month is not hard, just take lotz of time and effort...

My earning is around that range. However i stop working on Adsense cause it doesn't worth the effort....

Patience Gary ... every one works hard on their sites and sooner or later it pays off if you have the right approach. Some sites work, others don't unfortunately. Hang in there and read lots of the info here at DP and most importantly don't be shy to ask questions... there are MANY fine people here at DP willing to share MOST of their secrets Most importantly do it on the up and up!!!!
