Hi all - I'm very new to html and started trying to make my first site but kind of got stuck.

I'm planning to make my webpage be a table, and I would like to have a sidebar with a list to all of my articles. Is it possible to have one sidebar that is somehow put on every webpage? That way, when I make a new article, I don't have to update every single page on my site. Any help appreciated!

    Welcome to Digital Point.

As far your website goes the best option; as I understand you'll be posting articles on your website and you are new to the subject html/css then why don't you go for "WordPress'. It is very popular blogging CMS. Templates are easily available, choose your web template, just set it up and start posting your articles. You'll have list of widget for sidebar such as Recent Articles, Archive, Calender etc. You'll just have to activate "widgets" from the admin and these will be appearing at the sidebar of your web page(in all your pages).

More information/ download the wordpress set up : http://wordpress.org/
    Some templates: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

If you Google you'll find 100s of templates available.

Hope this information helps you. Thanks

Or if you will create a site using custom CMS, you can easily achieve that using includes / require in PHP. Just create your page where your sidebar links will reside, then use the includes / require PHP statement to "embed" that page to every page that you wish.

Best to use also for your header and footer part of every page.
