My friend has a site that earns about that much but it has a few 100k views a day. From what I know it's possible, but really requires some serious work or a good idea

 

Is it a forum site? few 100k should be more that $50 i guess?

 

I have one that gets +$40 a day and sees +$50 once in a while.

Horrible CTR, even worse CPC but lots of traffic

 

My forum site averages about $35 a day with only 8,000-10,000 page views a day.. man if I had the 100's of thousands of pageviews a day (like so many people seem to think it takes to make $50) I would be making thou$ands daily... so $50 a day from one site is not that hard. I don't understand why some people think it's hard to do this. Pick a subject you are interested in and run with it.. You will have fun and make money.

Its definetely possible, especially if your site has adsense search. Search is a cash cow!

It is definitely possible to do this with less visitors too.

I'm not clear on how you plan to attract visitors though?

I haven't found it easy to get free traffic (by search or any other means). But I haven't worked too hard on it yet.

Years ago I had bought a domain with a somewhat popular name in it, and without any work I had hundreds of visitors a day or more.

 

I have one big recipes site in Poland. I have 3k unique visitors a day. I haven't reached 50$ a day, but I definitely think it is possible.

In Poland we have small revenue from one click, so I think if my site was in english $50 will be my minimum days revenue

 

That is something I've never understood, people making money with forums - I don't think I've had more than 2 clicks in a day, so whatever revenue I have from mine is purely from CPM ads, and the money from those isn't really much.

 

I haven't tried search but I got the impression that it was not worth the time. Is this wrong? How much do u earn with each search?

Its possible, but tedious. It is better to have multiple websites in my opinion. The more traffic you generate the more incom you'll be able to pull in.

 

I agree. It is easier to make $50 with multiple websites. But if you have good topic - I don't see any problem with making much money on one site.

 

Yes it's possible to make that much or even more. I make $125 a day with only one site.

Yes, if you have a unique (and usefull) idea, manny sites wil link to you so you would have a lot traffic=earnings.

 

Yes, it is. I originally had one website and actually made $60 for a few days off of that.
