Possible to beat .edu sites in ranking?

    I have a medical school related keyword with high cpc and that upon checking top 10 rankings, majority are .edu domains and a few .com. Kw difficulty score is below 50 so not that competitive. My question is, is it possible to beat .edu domains and take one of top 3 positions on Google SERP? I hear that Google has alot of trust to .edu sites when ranking them.

    yes it is possible and need to work hard on the keywords to come on Google top 3.
