Possible Spam/Email Address Harvesting, thoughts?

Hi,

Where does DP stand on PM's such as this:-

hi how are you? i would like to do link exchange with you, so if you are interested please contact me at......​

And then an email address? Part of me (as a 10 year webmaster and as cynical as anything) thinks it's spam and they're email address harvesting, as the people who normally send this often have no posts.

Not really after much, just a clarification
