Possible solution to determine a site's value.

I was wondering if this would be an effective way to determine a website's value...for example if you are to purchase it...or you want to prove to someone how much you make from your website for whatever reason.

The website LogMeIn.com has a feature that allows you to let someone else view your desktop as you are using it. You are allowed to give full remote control or you can restrict their permissions to just view the other user's desktop as they work.

So I was thinking the user could provide view access to their PC through LogMeIn, then have the user login to their Adsense (or whatever account they are using to monetize their website)...then show the screens that demonstrate how much they make.

That way you know it is real, rather than screenshots or movies that have been edited...because you are actually seeing them log in to their accounts to show you.

Anyone think this is a good idea or have an alternative method?

That was indeed weird idea
You can definitely ask for Google analytics access from the seller, and check other details like Alexa and PR.

The best way to determine your site value is by knowing and finding the current market rate based on PR and traffic ranking. You can also create a thread for others to bid (without the bin) and from there, determine how much you intend to sell.

However, your suggestion on the adsense view is rather new. Why not just share the analytics figure with the buyer?

Ok, thanks. I'm not familiar with analytics. I'll check it out. :)
