This site receives around 8-9K unique visitors a day and its rising enormously fast. About 30K pageviews a day. All can be backed up with proof when I decide to sell it. This market is relatively new and sure as hell booming.

How much you offer ?

 

Adsense at first but there is a lot of discussion wether or not these sites are allowed by google. I therefore took them off. Right now its adbrite though im looking to get accepted by a large CPM site right now.

Zango will do great on this site however people wont like it.

How would I find new movies to keep the site updated?

 

The site currently is on a normal hosting package which can easily be taken over. I pay about $8/month and so far it runs perfectly good. In time it would need a dedicated server I guess.

No escrow either wire transfer or paypal. However as I said im not sure wether or not I want to sell this. I got accepted by CPX Interactive today. Im not sure if its that good and profitable but we'll see.

DivX is set to release their 'connected' platform link dump sites like this could easily go into oblivion when that happens.. I would avoid any DivX site that doesn't actually host the content.

if anyone ends up purchasing this site (and u get some rev proof btw) I would start thinking about expanding beyond DivX only to diversify your intrest and cut your losses if indeed the connected platform cuts into your traffic (which it most likely will).

my understanding of connected is this: think of Stage6 but reborn as a constantly updated stream of DivX videos hosted all over the web.

If you are talking about an upcoming replacement of stage6 then yes you are right. Vreel.net is said to be the next stage6 and has a lot of connections with premium hosting networks. However do note that this will only boost divvin as stage6 did with joox. Right now about 90% of former divx users avoid online streams because they are to slow. Vreel is going to change this bringing that 90% of user back on track. If you can manage to find movies on Vreel and get them to stream on Divvin it will bring in an immense amount of traffic. It is why I decided not to sell.

 

No. DivX inc. is about to release a platform that will auto-update and stream DivX movies right to your PC, Media PC or TV.

Link dump sites that are solely based on DivX will have a hard time convincing the loyal DivX crowd to stick around.

Good to hear you branched out, might want to think about going MOV and WMV3 as well just to cover your bases.

as far as Vreel is concerned I want to go on record as saying I doubt it and not to hold your breath. DivX pulled the plug on Stage6 due to cost and not one person has found a cost effective model of high quality video hosting yet. The others are drowning in debt or are lifelined by VC's.

Their site and logo doesn't strike me as the next superior video site - dont believe the hype.. wait a year or two.

and their theme? that preview in the forums? yeah its on a hundred little video websites... nothing new or special at all.

p.s. their site claims that through limelight they have a server in Finland... the nearest limelight server is in Frankfurt Germany.

 

Im sceptic as well on Vreel. I havent heard of divx plans but its bad news if they are true.
