Possible Sale of Webtalkforum.com Soon

I am thinking of selling http://www.webtalkforum.com

This forum has changed hands before it reached me. At that time, I bought mainly as a hobby to see whether I could build up a webmasters forum. However, it seems that the reverse has happened. I simply do not have the time or expertise in running it.

The original domain was woforums.com which was PR4. For the last month, I have redirected all traffic to webtalkforum.com because it is a much more brandable name.

Members: 392 - Threads: 1,073 - Posts: 10,612

I do not have recent stats because my server is not working properly. But I think it is in the region of 20 visitors a day, with 5-6 new members each month. There is an arcade game installation. The forum will not come with a VB license. The revenue from this site is negligible

The original plan was to redesign the forum and perhaps put some free resources there. Once this is done, all members would be e-mailed to kick start the forum again.

The price would be XXX

I am just gauging opinions at this stage unless there is a pretty good offer. Otherwise, I would be inclined to wait until this domain gets PR.

It's definitely a great domain name.
One thing I noticed, is that the site seemed to run pretty slowly, which might hamper your selling of it.

Great domain, but curious: Is that MyBB or vB powering the forum? Why is the copyright removed?

VB is powering the forum. The copyright was probably removed by a previous owner. I don't think it should be and will look into it.

What happened to the users? Did you pay for posting?

woforums has a very colorful history, if I remember correctly.

 

This forum changed hands 3 times last year. There are some statistics below. It seems that some users are more interested in the arcade than making actual posts. The usuage statistics were much better before I took over but I have almost run the forum to the ground through neglect. I do not pay for posts. It needs someone with the neccessary skills and dedication to get it off again. Since I own www.seo-talk.com as well, it is probably best that I let go of this forum.
