Considering Selling Google Page Rank Directory

The directory has a very good domain name worth gold and the site is PR 3 with several internal pages being PR 2.

How does the site works ? If a site is currently listed as PR0 and Google upgraded the pagerank to say PR3, would the listing reflects that automatically or it needs to be manually monitored and moved to the new category ?

I'll try to explain the site's concept a bit. Basically, all the normal directories are created with catgeories based on the different niches. But on this directory, I created categories based on PageRank values.

The reason it was done is because there are many people who are looking for sites based on their PR. Whether they are looking for link exchanges with their own site's equivalent PR (or higher) or looking to buy high PR links, they are looking for PR values. So, this directory provides them an opportunity to look for websites based on PR.

Now, coming to your question :

Yes, it needs to be done manually and with google PR updates happenning only a quarter or so, you need to do it every 3 months or so. The reason it is being done manually, is to maintain the integrity of the directory. By checking those links correct PR, if the pagerank has moved up/moved down, you can update the site listings by just moving it to the right category.

I asked that question before. I think if you could run a script that would do that it would add much more functionality to the site.

What happens when there are 1000+ sites. You are never gonna have the time to check 'em all.

The idea is there and I think an addition of a script would really make this directory more dynamic.

But if the buyer can get it done, they can probably bring more value to the directory by doing so.

The directory was started only on 30th Jan this year and it has generated a total revenue of $ 53 so far in link submissions and link sales. I haven't really promoted this directory properly and it still got a PR 3. It can easily be taken to PR5 if promoted rightly. More money could be generated from text link sales
