Possible rules to impliment for Web Hosting Forum?

Warez are not allowed and providing a sanctuary should also not be allowed. There are many hosts within the Web Hosting Section that offer but not limited to: warez hosting, linking, nulled scripts, rapidleeching, torrent seedboxes, torrent hosting, etc.

Also your thread that says Questions about thread isn't working. People apparantly don't seem to read it, so making a sticky instead that says $5 or less per month or overall belongs in freebies.

Best thing to do is simply report those threads with the report button.

I don't believe there should be a rule against this because people provide hosting were Warez , Rapid Leech and nulled scripts are allowed. But that doesn't mean everyone that is going to buy their service is going to use it for these activities the Operator of the sales thread is just saying that this is allowed and you can do that on my servers as a sales pitch.

If a web hosting company is going around advertising their services for hosting warez, nulled scripts, child porn or whatever other illegal stuff they can think of, they can advertise their services somewhere else in my opinion.

Yeah, I'd say if they are advertising services that are clearly illegal (no grey area there), they shouldn't be allowed.

Yea but have you taken a look at the Web Hosting section lately? Just about half of every page of threads in that section someone is offering 'Offshore' Hosting for nulled Scripts / Warez linking / Torrents

So what are you going to do with the people that have offers up currently for Web hosting were 'Illegal' actives are allowed? And will you be making a sticky sometime today?

Really glad to see some official policy on that actually - it's been a gray area for us in the past, but definitely agree it shouldn't be here. Thanks Shawn.

I agree with this rule. The hosting section should be rid of this.
I just took a look on the hosting section and it's full of these sales threads offering wares hosting etc.

I get it all the time on my server that is hosted in the us, daft clients uploading wares and not reading the terms, I dell the accounts then the client comes to me moaning..
They just don't get it. it's illegal

I thought DP is an international webmaster forum, no? I could be wrong tho or is DP turn to be non-international forum already until those rules need to be implementing?
DP is like a big multi-storey super market where customer have the rights to buy anything, so, it doesn't matter you been scammed or not, that's your own decission and not anybody fault - it's your fault. Like my mom always told me, buy something when you really know the product and the seller. I don't see any benefits such new rule to be implementing in DP.

JY - The community is open to international members, but it's still a US-based community, which means it operates under US laws. So just because something isn't illegal in some other part of the world, it doesn't mean it should be allowed on a forum based here. If the forum were based in one of those other countries, then other rules would apply.
