Possible Paypal dispute ?

    Will or can Paypal help me to get a refund when I have bought webhosting, but not gotten what I paid for ?

    You can certainly file a dispute although they are a bit spotty when it comes to non tangible items.

    Yes. You can file a dispute for not getting the product or service as described. Your chance of winning in this case is probably 50 / 50, as all they would need to do is prove that you did get what they had agreed to give you. If you can, it would be better to try and resolve it directly with the hosting company, but obviously that doesn't always work.

    If you file:

    Non-reciept - you will lose the dispute when it is reviewed by a PayPal representative. They do not cover intangible goods.

    If you file:

    Not as described - you will lose as soon it upgrades to a claim, as PayPal terms of service do not cover state of goods, only non reciept.

    Stuck between a rock and hard place unfortunately.

    Best try resolve it with the host directly. Otherwise skip straight to your Credit Card company.
