I have stumbled upon what seems to be a possible hot, new niche. Obviously I will not disclose too much information. Basically it is a game site with many more players than Mafia Wars. I am quite experienced at this game and have been a member of the site for about 8 years or so now, and I have many friends who are experienced as well, so I can definitely get to writing a guide in the form of an eBook for the game. In your opinion, would this sell on Clickbank? Do you guys have any other ideas for other products I could possibly create using my knowledge and experience I have in this game? I know I have only provided very limited information about this niche. But I think you guys would understand that I don't want any possible competitors suddenly popping up and taking the whole market before I get a chance. (I am rather new to IM)
Well firstly, well done for finding a ne market. Secondly, you can actually sell anything you want on CB and have people buy it. You just need to sell it right. If you make a page like www.dominatemafiawars.com (I.E with proof at the top and then a compelling story) the nyou could have a winner. It's all about conversion :-p
So you have identified a niche. You should see a few other things before you can be fully sure that the guide will sell. You need to check some things: 1. Is the game 100% free? Is there any paid aspect of the game? I play mafia wars myself from the time i didn't know that a CB guide exists for it. I know that mafia wars has a way by which it charges people for extra reward points. Does your game have a monthly fee / virtual currency store / a lot of chinese farmers? 2. Are there enough searches on Google for help, guides, cheats, tricks, secrets, strategies related to your game? You can find that quickly using the Google Adwords Tool. 3. The second thing you have to do is to check whether are any adwords ads at Google US / Canada for all those keywords? So if the answers to all the above questions are favorable, your product CAN be achieve success similar to what mafia wars has achieved. You can write an ebook for it. That is fine. But the most important thing is the sales page. If you have already promoted many clickbank products & know how to make a sale, then you can have a shot at doing everything yourself and hope to be successful. But as you said that you are NEW to the whole IM thing, you may not be able to do it yourself. Others may take advantage of your research quickly & simply rewrite your guide with a better sales page eventually killing your business. So i'd suggest you to find an experienced publisher here that already has some nice products with nice sales pages. (i can recall some nice publishers here like domainiac, Pixel Media, Chris and many others) Then you can make an arrangement where you do all the research about the ebook itself & prepare a high quality guide (to minimize refunds) Then your partner can do the sales page (with your help), graphics and every other thing. You can ask for like 1/3rd of the profits. Once the guide is done, the publisher blasts it to his private affiliate list. Once the gravity starts climbing, he makes an announcement at forums & elsewhere... Good Luck!
Take that advice seriously. If the niche looks profitable you'll have a competing sales page up within two weeks. Untapped markets don't stay untapped for long. Everyone has "good ideas", not many follow through. Hope you follow through with your plan. Best of luck.
Thanks for the advice. I think this niche can work out afterall. The only concern I have is that there are many websites that offer basic free information about the game. I guess I would just have to promote my product so that potential customers know it offers more than what can be found on the free help sites. Now the only thing I am still unsure about is how to go about getting my product listed on the CB network, and then attracting affiliates to promote it. It would be great if someone could fill me in on this. @the 2nd person who replied: I am definitely new to IM but not so new to HTML/CSS and graphic design, so I could probably whip up a decent looking sales page on my own. The only thing I'm not sure about is the content on the sales page. For that I could probably use elance, or do you know anyone who can write decent sales page content? Thanks a lot.
If RS = Runescape, then no. I mentioned that there are currently no products for this niche. But don't go guessing now. I don't intend to reveal the niche before I start promoting my product
