Possible Name for a 'Design Studio'

I already own 'dimensiondrive'[dot]com. I was wondering if this name would go any well with a design studio/brand? I also have 'pastelistic' if this sounds any better, I like it because its a single word instead of two. I'm overall looking for any great suggestions you guys can throw at me :).

    Thanks

Between those two I'd go for the first one...it is two recognizable words so there is less chance of typos when potential visitors are entering it in the address bar.

Well said, how do you generally feel about the name though?

It's ok, I just PM'd you with a couple of other suggestions that are still available too.

Honestly, I don't think either of those names will be good for you in the long run.

Because "dimension drive" doesn't correspond to something real, 9 people out of 10 will forget the name of your website. And that's going to really hurt your growth potential because growth depends on word of mouth as well as organic search traffic (which would be zero for "dimension drive"); and word of mouth doesn't happen when the mouths can't remember your name.

"Pastelistic" is one word. Well, kind of a word. But there's still a danger that people could say, "Check out this really cool website I found. It's called 'Pastel' something."

That's my honest assessment. Remember, your name is what you're going to be stuck with for a long time. It's a simple decision that has big consequences; so don't be misled by how simple the decision seems.

If you have a budget to work with, I can recommend something from my own portfolio, scout out domains and negotiate prices, or give you a list of domains available for registration that meet your requirements.

Regardless, don't settle for a name whose quality you have to wonder about. Try an experiment. Introduce yourself to somebody as so-and-so the owner of the website DimensionDrive.com. Then ask them 10 minutes later what the name of your website is. If they forgot it, then the name is inadequate.
