Possible Copyright Infringement, Need Advice

I have a website that's been doing very well. I'm ranking 1st for a number of keywords and have been making a solid income through Adsense. Until recently I haven't had any competition, but now there is another site ranking for the same keywords. I'm not upset about that, it was only a matter of time before someone else found these keywords, but the site is an obvious ripoff of mine.

All of his articles are just poorly reworded versions of my articles. They include all the same information, laid out in the same order. And the titles of the articles are very similar to mine. It's not copied word for word, but it's still frustrating because I did a lot of research to gather this information and even paid an expert in the field to review it and add addition info.

So, my question is, even though the site isn't an exact copy of mine can it still be considered plagiarism/copyright infringement? Do I have a case for submitting a DMCA takedown notice? Are there any other actions I can take?

If the other site is not ranking well I would just watch and wait.

But if you are really upset, keep in mind that it might turn out to be a lot of work and may not resolve in your favor, also

I don't know about DMCA, but I'd say just send a note to their web hosting provider with your complaint. Some web hosting companies treat spam/copyright issues rather seriously.
