Hey, I have this domain name www.naughtyamateurs.ca and was wondering how much value it has? I'm sure someone would have to be in the adult niche to do something with it, but just wondering what kind of value it has.
Just the way the domain market works. Type-in traffic, where a person sitting at a computer simply types in a url and hopes there is something they want to see at the domain they have just typed in; counts for around 15% of all internet traffic. So, someone looking to find a naughty amateur would type in; naughtyamateur.ext Which is where the value of the extension comes into play. The most well known extension and the one most likely to be typed, and therefore the most valuable, is the .com. Other extensions such as .net and .org can also be used but they are much less valuable than the .com since they are nowhere near as close to the forefront of a searcher's memory as the ubiquitous .com. Country-specific extensions such .ca and my own country, .co.uk, while having some value, do not carry anywhere near that of a .com for the reasons explained above.
