Hi. I started a new forum on a brand new site. Please give as much feedback as possible. I will give positive feedback for anyone who submits a useful review. Thank You www.videoforumclub.com
What would make the site looks MUCH nicer is an abstract background behind your header area... and a darker font for your site's name.
I would use more shades of blue for the main colors. Maybe make the links slightly darker blue too? And I agree with 8everything, you should make a header that stands out more than just text.
i like the icy blue color, but it's overkill on the icy blue. i would make the topic font color a deep navy blue so it stands out more.
And i would also make section names at the bottom a little lighter, they take more attention than Your site's name
I think the background is a bit strainful to the eye, that's my first impression of it. Perhaps make it a couple of tones darker?
Try and find a nice complementary color and use it to make your forum header stand apart. The design is nice and clean looking but a little bland too...add some color to spruce it up a little bit can't hurt. Good luck!
I have taken everybody's advice and I think I have what I want. I really appreciate the tips. If there are any more tips, I would love to hear them.. and, of course, give positive feedback.
lol, my first impression was it needs an image in the header box.(behind where it says video forum club) Not too dark, but not too light...hmm..maybe some sort of marble look using pretty much the same colours you already got. It would add some depth and texture. Or alternatively using the above mentioned suggestion in background instead of header area.
I'd have to agree, adding a header image up the top would help make the site look better. As to the color of the site, it looks good, but I would make the parts where you have the darker green a bit more darker still, I guess something similar to the dark green here on DP, but not that dark. Other than that, looks good.
