Positioning Question with a Directory

I'm trying to make some changes to my directory at www.freedeeplinks.com.

What I'd like is to have the category list float to the left of the welcome message and featured article box. I've tried changing the positioning both in the template and in the css file, and I can't seem to figure out what the heck I'm doing wrong. :( If anyone knows how I can do that, I'd really appreciate it. :)

I don't think I understand completely what you're trying to achieve... Is it a three column float layout that you want?

Thanks. I'll PM them in the morning. :) I actually later noticed that none of my subcategories or links are displaying now, so I deleted the featured article table I'd added. Obviously I screwed it up, b/c it still isn't working. I'm going to play with it more tomorrow. Thanks for the help. :)
