Position Plummet for 1 keyword only???

    Hi,

    Why would a sites position in the SERPs suddenly plummet from 2 down to 114 for one keyword but remain the same for everything else?

    For example, 'cars', was 2 now 114. 'used cars' no change!

    Has anyone else experienced this and found out why it's so isolated and what can be done to resolve it?

    I used an SEO company once who just saturated the site with one keyword but no content to back it up, google just saw this as spam and through that keyword out of its rankings
