We are about to buy a nice POS and I'd like to have an idea of what is out there as far as good POS packages before I make any recommendations.

If anybody knows an option, I'd like to hear it :D

If you're refering to "point of sale" packages, they vary widely by industry.

    What type of business?

    How many employees?

    Multiple workstations?

    Multiple locations?

Do you want the information polled to a master location?

Do you want it to integrated with your accounting software?

    Online sales?

Look at Compar POS. It has to be run on a Linux or Unix server and is normally for multiple stores and multiple registers. However small stores can rent the software from us on a monthly basis and we will supply it to you across the internet.

    Contact me if you're interested.
