It seems simple and clean but you need more and more works for your portfolio

and I would re-think about the splash screen. Are you sure about that?

 

I really like the simplicity of the design, looks very fresh. Some of your portfolio work is very nice!

 

Not a fan of the intro page

 

I like the "work" page. But you need a contact form.

i'm not a fan on all flash sites. Bad for SEO means bad for business.

From the design point of view, i think you've taken the kiss (keep it stupid simple) principle a bit too far. Needs some graphics and some colors.

 

Very nice. The work page could use a scrolling flash menu on the side to accomodate more images.

 

yeah i agree i need to get more work up on it,, this is just a start,, as for the scrolling menu i like the idea if i can pull it off,, flash and coding wouldnt be my strongest point,, thanks for all yer prepies though

 

I'm really not a fan of splash pages or flash sites. Theres nothing there that necessitates the use of flash.

 

Definitely don't like the first page. But it's simple. Just need some more content and it will be great.

 

There is too much white space and no appeal.

Personally, I hate flash sites since it is brutal for SEO, but that is my opinion.

Add more to each page with graphics; or even a picture on the left with each page.

 

I dont feel like writing in complete sentences so I'll be blunt

-your domain name is too long and very poor quality
-the intro has to go
-the site design needs to be improved so it looks good not just minimalist
-remember your site sells the sort of gfx work you do
-hello@yoursite is a LAME email, get something more professional than "hello"
-good fast-transitions between the pages
-flash is very resource intensive and out of style
-your work is also very poor, and makes me wonder is that all you did for those clients? or do they have a website

hate flash pages too... and man... i'm sorry but you're gonna have to try harder... because such a simple layout just won't work good as a portfolio design...

 

Domain name can never be easily remembered.
The contents are good especially the art works but its lacking
The Design is too simple, make it more alive,
Enhance Enhance Enhance.. That is my advice...

 

visited your site. I am not a big fan of flash sites. The clicks are simple you can add some movement as you are using flash in it. The site looks something missing, there is more scope of improvements.

 

thanks for all of your replies, this was indended to be a starting block and i do have alot more work i need to upload onto the site, i just need time, to be honest SEO is not a huge issue as the site is more for people who have been directed there than who end up there by chance.

Web design as you can tell would not be my specialty but i will take your feedback and suggestions to make some updates.


and zoogo to say the work is poor is a bit harsh yes i am not a fully fledged ground breaking designer but my clients are happy and have graduated top of my class from college with 2 design degrees.

I think your work is very good. Like you said though you're not a web designer. If I were you, I would pay someone to put your site together.

I know youre going for the minimalist look but its a bit too plain for me. Not a big fan of the intro animation either.
