Portal Development

    Hi fellow DP members,

    I am trying to build a Portal on niche Programming something i thought of are: news board, forum, community etc.

    I am am in dilemma to which platform should i plan. Should i go with Joomla or some other.. not sure.

    Could you please guide me through:

    1. Which platform of CMS (especially freely available modules/extensions or less cost)
    2. Apart from news board, forum, community etc what else do you think could come into content development plan?

    Your suggestions is very important for me!

    I second Wordpress. I haven't worked with Joomla lately, but that might look good too!

    Wordpress is easy to use and customization CMS, it is growing rapidly and you can find help easily in Wordpress. I would like to suggest you go with Wordpress.
