    Porn blogs are spamming Google. I'm curious about your opinions: Do you think this will catch fire for a short time & then burn out or do you think it has long term potential? Is the porn industry always on the cutting edge?

    You do have to hand it to the porn industry they are always on the cutting edge of just about everything. I think it will just burn out.

    I think Google will put more penalties on lots of links coming from the same IP. It wouldn't surprise me if they extend the sandbox effect somehow. If a site goes live and instantly has thousands of IBL, I could see them having a near permanent dampening effect on those links.

    But yeah, the porn industry really is at the edge of it all...

    Whether or not you like the content, you have to admire the effort that guys in that industry put out.

    Porn has driven technology for years: VHS, DVD, satellite TV, the internet. I'm not suprised to see porn getting the best of Google periodically. However, if anyone is smarter than those porn wankers it is the team of PHDs at Google. :)
