Popups vs interstitials

    Both of these advertising options are annoying to your users, but which one do you think is less intrusive and annoying? Give your reasons as well.

    Honestly, interstitials are less annoying to me because I just click a link to continue, rather than having to close another window.

    I would say popups, cuz more than 50% are blocked by smart toolbars, and you can deal with them faster, rather than having to lose what page your on and wait more pages to reload.

    Popups are a lot less intrusive, all noobs have seen popups, a lot of older people especially have not seen insertials as it is a rather new ad format and will get confused if it is part of the site or not, and might leave. And for the more tech savvy internet surfer they have popup blockers. Insertial blockers are nto as effective.

    Bootom line go with popups, in most cases they pay better too.
