    Popular Tags

We have observed that many sites are using popular tags. Just let me know is it in black hat seo or white hat seo??

We have also added these popular tags in our website. http://www.vertex.net.pk/website-designing-pakistan.html

Right side of most of the inner pages. But we don’t see any influence of it yet. Is popular tag is really effective?

I mostly put noindex for tags pages. Popular tags is mostly for visitors who may find something interesting in those tags.

It is usually to keep your visitors to stay longer on your site and reduce bounce rate traffic to your site. Closing from first page considers as bounce traffic and it is not good for business. If you are looking to increase SERP ranking using tags only, I guess you need to do more than that. Build some links.

ROFL Tags are supposed to link to various pages on your site about those topics. NONE of your tags are links. So basically, you are keyword stuffing those same keywords on all of your pages.

Go to any blog that lists Tags (www.sugarrae.com for example, way down on the rightmost column under "Popular Tags") and hover over them. Notice they link to various pages on the site that 1) pertain to that topic and 2) that they want to rank for those keywords. It's just another way of creating inbound links to pages with your targeted keywords.
