    Heya,

    What Are You Selling?
    I am selling a network of 3 sites, which are running on a script that I coded myself. There is no other copies of this script around.

    The sites assist webmasters trade stumbles (StumbleUpon), saves (Del.icio.us) & tags (Digg), which is a popular method being used by webmasters on forums such as DigitalPoint or SitePoint.

    Why Are You Selling It?
    I have a few other projects which I am working on at the same time - a band promotion website and link sales website.

    These other projects require a lot of time to be successful and I'd rather spend my time developing them as I believe they will be very profitable.

    I actually had an offer for $4,000 when I listed this on DP but the buyer stopped replying to my messages and hence why I am now selling on here.

    What Will I Get If I Buy The Network?
    When you purchase this network, you will get the following:

    * The script which is 100% coded by me
    * All rights to the script
    * The Domain : stumbleXchange.com (Developed)
    * The Domain : diggXchange.com (Developed)
    * The Domain : deliciousXchange.com (Developed)
    * The Domain : reggitXchange.com (Undeveloped)

    Statistics
    Here are some statistics for you:

    stumbleXchange.com
    * Registered at GoDaddy
    * Established 4th January 2007
    * 1 Week Alexa Rank : 31,234
    * 462 Members
    * $193.21 of Donations
    * Minimal other forms of monetization so plenty of other potential to make additional income

    deliciousXchange.com
    * Registered at GoDaddy
    * Established 4th February 2007
    * 1 Week Alexa Rank : 69,149
    * 119 Members
    * $15.00 of Donations
    * Minimal other forms of monetization so plenty of other potential to make additional income

    diggXchange.com
    * Registered at GoDaddy
    * Established 3th February 2007
    * 1 Week Alexa Rank : 70,523
    * 63 Members
    * $12.00 of Donations
    * Minimal other forms of monetization so plenty of other potential to make additional income

    How Did You Promote It?
    I made a post announcing the launch of each individual site on DP (the one for stumbleXchange now has 4,256 views). Other than that it has been mainly word of mouth advertising from our members.

    This obviously shows that with proper promotion (my weak point) these sites could become much more popular and therefore have a lot of potential in terms of income.

    Revenue Details

    Currently the only form of monetization the site has is through donations & 1 AdBrite tower ad on the left hand side, which is only shown to guests.

    The donation system means that theoretically people should donate larger sums of money as time goes on. For example if you look at the donations of stumbleXchange the last 3 donations were $30,$26 & $14.

    As previously stated, this network of sites have earned over $220 since the launch in 4th of January. Don't forget that diggXchange and deliciousXchange were established a month after that, on the 3rd & 4th of February so they haven't contributed as much to this sum as of yet.

    The AdBrite ad hardly receives any clicks but through optimizing the location of ad and putting some CPM ads in the members area you could monetize this site further.

    Traffic Details

    * Most of the traffic to the sites is either direct or through the launch announcement post/people talking about the site on digitalpoint.
    * stumbleXchange also gets visitors from Google, as it is ranked #1 for "Stumble Exchange" & "Exchange Stumbles".
    * Some people have also posted about these sites on their blogs so that is another source of traffic.
    * With more effort to build links & increase awareness, this network could become a lot more popular.

    Auction Details
    * Listed on SitePoint as well (Link at Bottom)
    * End : 28th Feb '07 at 5AM (GMT)
    * Min Bid : $110 (as $110 bid on SitePoint)
    * Increments : $10
    * BIN : $6,000

    Payment Details
    I'd like the payment to be via one of the following methods:

    * Moneybookers (Preferred)
    * PayPal
    * Wire Transfer

    The Transfer Process
    The transaction will be done as follows. This is to protect me from scammers. I think this is fair as I have a good iTrader + reputation:

    * Winner notified.
    * Payment will be sent.
    * Once received & cleared the files + domain will be transferred to the winner.
    * Share iTrader

    The latest bid on SitePoint is $400, which is way below the value of this network. The network now has 770 members + therefore has a huge potential for marketing your sites.

    If you're interested please place your bids here. :)

    I have only visited your stumblexchange site. To be honest, this site won't be successful in the long run. Sooner or later, it will probably be banned. The only question is when will stumbleupon admins find out.

    Why? This is clearly cheating their system to promote your site. If I recall correctly, I think you have even added a anonymous referrer system when the user has to go to the stumble upon system.

    I have posted this so somebody who is buying this site knows what they are getting into...

    Well one of the members of DP, Anita, contacted the co-founder and he said that although it is a blatant breach of the ToS he's completely fine with it and gave it the go ahead.

    I think the reason behind this is that unless a huge number of stumblers co-orporate and the site receives consistent stumbles in the long run, the site won't make any difference to the system as a whole. The existence of stumbleXchange won't harm the experience of stumbleupon users.

    Here's the actual post from Anita: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2161987&postcount=137

    Please note the following updates:

    • stumbleXchange now has a new feature, the "Sponsored Listing". This will allow the new owner of this site to monetize the site further. Sponsored listings allows users of the site to pay $10 per 1,000 impressions. Their listing is shown above everyone elses in the "Stumble" section, which ensures that they get the most exposure. Their listing is also highlighted in light red.
    • The BIN has been lowered to $4,000. :)

    AND OMG!!! I just noticed I've started this thread in the wrong topic!!!! :eek:!!!! I'll request the MOD to delete this straight away and I'll repost it in the correct forum... :eek:
