I have a fairly popular BlackBerry blog that I have been running for almost two years. I get about 3500 page views per day and rank very high, sometimes in the top 2 or 3 spots, for many of my keywords, however, I don't rank at all for my number one keyword, BlackBerry. Personally, I think that site is doing well, however, I can't imagine how it would do if I actually ranked for BlackBerry. Any suggestions on things that I can do to try to rank for this one particular keyword would be greatly appreciated.
Not really a suggestion but that keyword returns 1.5 mil results with allinanchor http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=allinanchor:blackberry&btnG=Google+Search Meaning you are going to need TONS and TONS of backlinks to be rank high for that keyword.
Tru fact is you are in a field where ithere is a lot of competition, your first competitor being the actual company site. You have to oudo them or at least try if you hope to get anywhere. Thank You
I'm sure that there's hundreds of others focusing on just the same keyword as you are and trying just as hard. This would be a huge money maker if you were on the first page.
