OK so here we go. I've had popthatzit.com for a year now and I told myself that I would wait a year before I really thought about selling it. I have had many offers, but really wanted to hit the 1 year mark.

From the start Popthatzit.com has been a real gem. First day I launched I was able to get over 800 uniques. From then it just grew and grew. I did a Press Release and that got me over 10 radio interviews. I was on the radio across the US, London, & Ireland. It was amazing. Below are 2 that I was able to record. Have a listen, they are really awesome. Whats great is that I did about 6 over a 2 day period and I usually get calls every once in a while for a new one. So thats always a great traffic boost.

Most of the content I found via youtube and some other avenues which I will show to the winner. I get a lot submitted by members, but sometimes it is duplicate content and I really like to not have duplicates on the site. There are 904 registered members on the site.
There is a huge need/fetish for zit popping material. No joke!!

Revenue Details:

Majority of income comes from adsense. I have had some banner ads at $50 a month here and there.

In December it was a dream come true. Certain ads were paying around $3-4 a click. It was insane. In December I made $3,341.45 from popthatzit. Was really awesome. Overall the ads pay very well.

Most traffic is generic. I rarely do paid advertising, but have done a few times. There are a few sites that I post on to get some boosts in traffic, but generally it flows in everyday all day long.

 

What script does the site use?

 

It runs off of humorsoftware. Pretty neat script. The template was custom made.

 

Damned I wish I could afford it. Its sooooo disgusting but great!

 

Boy if I could afford that I would buy it. I actually been to that site before I even came onto DP's site. What a great and simple idea

Yeah its a great site. I meet people on the street and they have heard of the site. Its great!! Friends tell me that it has even come up in conversations before. lol
