My earnings are extremely low today because of this when you guys get this resolved will their be a bonus of some sort?

 

We were offline for total time of 2 hours during our low-traffic hours. Once the attack stopped, our system restarted working fine and this incident did not affect rates.
Regarding on what happens next: We will continue investigating if there was anything we could have done in current setup to prevent this(I am actually worried that the attack might not be a one time event).
Later today we will take a decision on bonus/compensation and mail all affected publishers.

 

So, I hope you have come up with a solid DDOS prevention plan.
And how's about the decision on bonus/compensation?

 

We had DDOS prevention plan in place, actually not a single packet reached our servers. The problem is that the attack was huge enough to overload datacenter links.
The plan for this year was to work on new backend for PopAds that would allow for hosting our system in multiple datacenters at the same time(which for adnetwork is a really complex task).
Due to the attack plans were shifted a bit and we are focusing on DDOS protection now(actually, we are starting testing one of possible solutions tomorrow).
The worry that I have is that pretty much all cloud services that do DDOS protection try... too hard. This causes false positives and in the end we get less traffic and publishers get less earnings.
The reason behind it is that these services are more created for normal websites and not for adnetworks where traffic profile is completely different.
Yet, I think we found a service that might work well for us and we are starting tests soon.

Regarding compensation - yes, a decision has been taken and I think that our publishers should be very satisfied with it.
More details will be provided by email once the decision is executed(waiting for techs to do that).

I do not really see what is the problem with your numbers.

Popup is new window in foreground, popunder is new window in background.
Tabup is new tab in foreground, tabunder is new tab in background.

We finally see some networkwide rate increase. Isn't as good as 2015 yet, but we are going there

For mobile our system failsover to tabup/tabunder, as obviously popup/popunder is not technically doable due to lack of windows. As far as I know, at this moment most devices allow to do tabup so usually that is what advertisers get.

One my website (about traveling) gets 2k visitors a day (From reddit ads, whole traffic is from USA).
So any idea how much is it possible to earn a day with that amount of traffic?
Also I want to know if all geo-traffic converts your network?

What the hell is going on -------- My eCMP rates is last 2 days below 1.00 USD ( Its around 0.96 - 0.92 ) ,Dear PopAds Its Alarming for me/ i dont know if any body facing this kind of problem ....Planning to remove PopAds Code , My Day IMP is 18k ( Now a days its seems they also don't count IMP like previous )

 

Pretty much all geos are monetized, but I have to warn you that any kind of paid(nonorganic) traffic is most likely not going to work.

Actually, our average rates are going up. But please, understand. We are a bidding market - we do not set rates; we can't do anything about them. Also, we did not do anything about counting impressions(please use Troubleshooter tool to make sure there are no problems).

Also, I wanted to comment about "removing PopAds code due to low rates". In last two weeks, after rates dropped on Jan 1st, I've heard this a lot.
Please understand, we are a bidding network and we can't do anything about rates. If our rates are too low and someone else offers you a better deal, I will totally understand that you leave us.
I truly believe in free market and I consider "going to the highest bidder" a very normal and wise pracitise. I know that some networks react to such "threats" by increasing rates, but we do not.

Recent few days i am en-counted a serious problem ,I found my eCPM is going down day by day & its now on stuck below 1.00 USD/ now its only 0.91 cent How come its possible .BUT other hand My Impression is counting normal ,If IMP. was not count then i think there was some problem BUT its not .

At this moment our adcode is installed, but it is truncated into one long line; probably due to some HTML compression your are using.
It works, but Troubleshooter does not detect it.

We can't do anything about rate.
