A lot of websites will die with this update, and most webmasters have no idea how they can pass this to survive ... i really bad news for everyone but i still have the hope if popups will be gone at least the banners advertise will start to pay better then before ... because most of the advertising companies who are on popups they need to move on banners ... the internet is too big and I'm sure will be a fix in few months :) but webmasters need to be ready to survive that few months ( most of the webmasters will make just 10% or 20% that period possible from what they make now )

This will happen on Chrome in privacy mode, as it is not possible to popunder there. Anyway, I have upgraded the pop code, maybe it helps.

    Yes, it will.

PHP code you can install once and it will do the job on its own.

We had some tech issues, sorry for that. Next month we will be finalizing migration to our new servers (150 servers across 3 continents) and that should give us vastly improved stability and performance.

    Correct!

We will announce if there is any larger update to the PHP anti adblock library. Last update was like 2-3 weeks ago and was focused on fixing issues in case you have 100% full disk on the server.

Yup, won't be good. But there is some good news:
    - Because it will be opt-in list, Chrome will need to search each resource URL(not website, but image, script etc.) in filter database. If they were to apply it to all websites using pops, we are talking about gigabytes of filter that would surely MASSIVELY affect browsing performance. My guess is that they will just do it for larger websites. Small publishers should be safe I guess.
    - Now, for these who will get affected - simplest solution will be to block Chrome visitors starting from 2018 and explain the visitor why they cannot access the website with Chrome(I will be helping with this - both with blocking and explaining). Trust me, if people want to download that torrent or watch that porn video, they WILL switch browser. If they encounter such blocks frequently, they will switch browser permanently(power users won't go for that, but I bet 90% of Internet users can't tell Chrome and Firefox apart). We just all need to remember that webmasters create content and visitors consume it. Google is not an authority who can say what kind of content is allowed and what kind isn't.

True, this kinda happens with Internet Explorer Browser ... people stop using it because they can't watch the websites, and if most webmasters will start block Chrome users than most of the people will need to move on Firefox or other browsers ( I'm a Firefox user I never like Chrome ) but if this happen and most webmasters will start block Chrome users will be the only way to show google they can't control the world, but now it depends on everyone ... but how i say even this will take few months or more and the big issue is most webmasters will not even make money to pay their servers to can host the websites.

i think its strange that there are no words from the "ad blocker market"
i dont get how google will behave if ad block plus for example is already installed. i dont think they block the ad blocker plugins from chrome.

dont you think google also thought about losing browser % if they block ads for porn sites for example..i think they played all these
scenarios till the end and it seems like they came to the conclusion its worth the try.

im sure if google can successfully establish the ad blocker the main browsers will follow.

if opera etc. might get a lil bit more % on the market from porn/torrent sites etc. they are getting hit so hard from the content industry (labeled as piracy browser etc.) that they have no chance to not follow google.

lets see whats happening..till there is a better solution im definetly going the block chrome from 2018 on way

already CPM is lower/bad, and now with new Chrome rules, maybe many websites will be dead Soon which mean they cant affroad paying their server and otherr things..

That most likely happens because you are using AntiAdblock code where publisher detection is not done.

Yes, I am aware of this case. Personally I am not happy about this, but I did close the accounts mentioned in court order.
I am not a US citizen, yet as we do transactions in USD, use PayPal and have servers in US, ignoring court orders could have been very risky for us.

We do not collect nor verify any personal details, so even if court order requests, we cannot provide anything.
Yet, I am pretty sure that if a court order is sent to PayPal or Payoneer, they will release all info.

sure they do but to do that they would need you to send them the paypal or payoneer infos. i would count a paypal email as "personal information"

As far as I remember, in this case they already provided emails in court order in order to locate accounts.

ok but my question wasnt about the case..would you send out "personal information" paypal email for example because of a US court order? in general not in this case.

closing accounts because of an order (to protect your company) and handing out information to a different country and/or private companies are completely different stories.

Right now I'm in the Philippines and you know what is the funny part? ABS-CBN yes is a huge TV company here and they focus a lot to block most of the websites who give away there videos/movies but if you go almost any mall here you can buy their pirated videos for 2/3 USD ( and none complain nothing about the ones who sell them pirated on malls ) when I come first time in this country and i know how is in Europe about pirated sell I was like LOL but here you can buy all that you need in mall :) "More fun in the Philippines" ehehe

That depends on my "feeling of rightness" (however bad it sounds).
So for example, if you are involved in child pornography, I will be happy to collect all info I can and bring it to authorities on my own, without any court orders or anything. Just because I consider such activities extremely wrong and destructive for society.
Now, if we get a court order from US court for something like in the mentioned case, we will have to comply and do whatever the court order demands. Otherwise we are risking doing bank transfers in USD, we are risking Paypal account, we are risking Payoneer account. If we were only dealing in crypto currency and working from a TOR hidden service, then situation would be different :)
Yet, in such case, in which I do not feel that a website having 200 or 300 visitors a day can cause any visible damage to anyone, for which they have never been any DMCA complaints etc., I do bare minimum to satisfy the court order request.

So to answer your question directly - if the court order asks for PayPal email, we will provide PayPal email.

interesting...is that even legal in your country? since when has a US court anything to say lets say in the EU which i guess you are in.

i know some cases advertising and hosting companies from the EU who didnt send over any data. Not even some US companies hand over data without fighting it.

but thanks for the detailed answer
