Poor Search Engine Results

For around 12 months, we have had a page rank of 3 on our homepage at: http://www.acerenting.com/

Well, about 6 months ago we decided to hire an SEO firm to optimize our website. They recommend the following optimization and it was done:

    - Optimize keywords / content / programming of webpage’s
    - Optimize Meta tags
    - Optimize server and client side functionality

Unfortunately, there has been no change in our home page rank. (Somewhat disappointing) Most disappointing is that, we hired them to help us increase our traffic from search engines but it has not worked. I can copy and paste any text from www.acerenting.com into any search engine but get no results. As well I can perform searches using specific keywords that they have optimized our website for and we do not come up in any search results whatsoever.

After 6 months, needless to say, we will not be using their services ever again.

If anyone knows or could suggest a solution that will help our website match searches and be found on resulting pages on search engines, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Philip

You could learn how to optimise your site yourself: http://www.seomoz.org/beginners.php

Or, if you want to hire another seo company, I wouldn't trust one that offers optimising meta tags as part of their service. Meta tags have very little influence on ranking these days.

You get around Phil. This is also a good forum for getting SEO advice, but I would say the other forum you posted in has more people within it that would be willing to offer you sound advice without trying to sell you. This forum is more of ad revenue advice forum and is still growing. Not slamming it or anything as I've been posting here anytime I can find a thread that's worth posting for.

How much you pay for site wfich is far away from being optimized? I need only few seconds to find out that you dont use H1 and H2 tags, pictures have no alt descriptions, links are without alt and title tags,...
