Poor Rankings?

I was wonderign why my site has been getting poor rankings lately. It seems to be very well seod and it doesnt seem to be banned.

The only thing I can think of was duplicate content that I put on temporarly as a test.

The site is www.boardingscene.com and I am not even ranking well for the term boarding scene.

I have headers, alt tags, correct titles, and everything else yet something still is wrong.

Is google possibly punishing me for something? I am fine in all the other search engines and rank really well.

Please point out anythign that catches your eye SEO wise.

P.S. My site is switching servers to a dedicated, so its down at this second with a bunch of bugs. May have to wait till tommorow, unless something catches your eyes on my down for maintenance page :).

I am running Vbseo as well and I am not running anyting like coop or link vault as well.

    CKY,

Your website needs to be up for us to take a real look at it - as you mentioned the errors it contains are causing it to not function properly.

Please PM me when it's fixed and I'll take a gander.

looking at things with a text browser all of that styling information is filling up the robots and all the good content at the bottom of the page is ignored.

    Need a better system.

What if I made it 2 columns and had the content on the left.

Dont search engines go left down to the bottom? Maybe I just heard that somewhere.

I want it too look good though :(

    Maybe theres another way.

Robots will take the first path to content, So if you place it in left hand column it will read that first usually.

    Anything should help.

Were you on a different platform before?

Ummm I have switched hosts like 3 times in the past 2 months, but the down times werent longer than a day or two except for recently.

I used to rank for for all tersm with boaridng scene inside them in every search engine. I also used to rank high in skateboard trick tips, skateboard forums, snowboard trick tips, and others similar.

Recently though I cant even find anyhting I rank good for in google.

ahhh there you go the killer move

switching hosting can chop your rankings out from under you if done wrong or if Google and other bots do not find you in the move(s)

In your case I am sure there was some mix up and that got your site down for a bit.

work on getting a few one way links and a bit of traffic to the site and rankings should pick back up

I moved hosts in March and you can watch as my few good rankings are slowly destroyed and just now seem to be getting back to normal...

At the bottom is a link to the next report so you can watch the bloodshed too ....

I hope your right, I couldnt really see anything wrong otherwise lol.

I am getting a pr6 link to a very relevant site this month, and they have over 1/2 million visitors a month, so I should be good.
