Does anyone else have the same problem? I have been using Image Ads for a while now, but I've never liked the fact that the image you upload can only be a maximum of 50k, with the image being reduced in quality even more once the Image Ad has been made. Any tips on overcoming this?
Have you already tried a software program which comes with some 'save-for-web' optimizing options like Photoshop? You might have to play around with some quality sliders but getting a basic Adwords banner below 50KB (without loosing too much quality) hasn't ever been a real problem here. Also note that the image formats stated on the Adwords site are incorrect,.. as they forget to mention that the stated formats include the little 'Feedback - Ads by Google Bar'. The images are automatically resized to the correct formats, but this usually results in some very ugly ads (especially if they contain a lot of text). To get the real image sizes: * The two sky scraper formats: subtract 22 pixels from the banner's height * All other banners: subtract 11 pixels from the banner's height I.e.: Leaderboard (728 x 90) ==> 728 x 79 Skyscraper (120 x 600) ==> 120 x 578
