Pool rules Question

We play 14 ball Pool in the UK and me and my friend are having a debate

I was on the black ball, he had 1 ball left before getting on to the black

The balls were lined up next to the pocket like this

POCKET BLACK HIS BROWN WHITE BALL

All in a straight line, I hit the white off his brown, which potted my black

Do I win or not?

you lost because you've hit straight his ball first. that's considered fool.

It's not exactly like normal rules is it..i.e. potting somebody else's ball or hitting the white off the table

Sorry to say.. your friend won that game..

 

if the white goes in with the black you lose.
if u foul and hit the other colour ball at any time its 2 shots to him unless u pot the black on a foul then its a lose for you!

 

If you hit his brown before you hit the black then I am afraid you lost!
