Pondering whether to switch from IPB to myBB

I'm currently running IPB 3.1.2 on my forum, AIOScene, and I've been thinking about switching to myBB. I've been reading a lot of good stuff about myBB, how it's very fast and lightweight and comes with a decent amount of features. I'm only reluctant because IPB is the forum software I know the best and I'm not a coder, so I can't really customize or code anything special on my own. IPB is feature-rich which is why I prefer it but after reading stuff about myBB, it seems like its a great forum software and it's gotten even better with the new update.

I'd love to read some feedback and all opinions would be appreciated

 

IPB 3.x is really great I guess. On the other hand on the forums I visit, I ve seen MyBB seems to be loading pages a little faster and has a lot of good features too.

 

Yeah one of the big reasons I'm considering switching is cuz MyBB is fast.

 

You have a small simple site. Is there a specific reason you would need to switch from IPB?

 

Nah it's just that I've heard myBB is a very promising forum software, has a decent amount of features and the like.

 

I don't see a reason for you to switch. I'm an avid MyBB fan too but if you're already setup and nothing is actually a problem I don't see a reason to move.

i love ipb but i don't have enough money for that so i use mybb. mybb is also good but still ipb is excellent and better than ipb
