I am actually exhausted from reading all the "Don't do deals with this person" or "I have been scammed by" threads here. Its good reading but its also worrying. I guess you just have to be EXTRA vigilent when it comes to dealing with anyone here, even if they are well known or have high iTrader. I have never been scammed for much more than a few dollars on this forum, but until recently these threads have become more and more of an everyday happening. I love DP, but I don't like whats happening to our Marketplace. It has become a scammers paradise. And people are just not using their heads when making business decisions. DO NOT SEND MONEY WITHOUT THOROUGHLY RESEARCHING FIRST. And like it has been said sooo many time before here, If it is too good to be true than it probably is. I know the mods here are doing an AMAZING job and they are doing what they can. Personally I think they should be paid for the amount of bullshit they have to put up with. See poll above....
20+ transactions on this site and only got burned once for $5 or $10. The funny thing is the guy who burned me has more i-trader and post than all of the others combined! I think the required post count and the two week wait is a great tool to cut down on the scam and run people......or at least some of them.
Me! I think and think and think and think again before dealing with someone, people with iTraders and post count can't still be trusted though, not saying names
I totally agree with the B/S/T Suggestion Thread that Shoemoney started, and I hope all of those great suggestions get put into place especially the amount of time a user has to be active here before being able to post in BST.
Shoot, I can't figure out who. Let's by hangman! But back on topic. I believe that the transaction value makes a big deal. If I see someone with 30 i-traders, and I'm buying something for $35. Then I don't think twice. But if its a $800 sale, then yes, I would rethink the situation.
There are a lot of good people and deals here but anytime money is involved people will look to scam people
I tend to trust people until they show me something wrong. Generally, for bigger deals I don't deal with people that tyepp laik tis, although perhaps that's a bit discriminatory... damn, I need to get a Money Bookers account and all will be good
