This was my first landing page using a poll. It's down now because the news story has cooled so I don't mind sharing. I received 198 clickthroughs, but no conversions. The stats were a little screwy so I was talking to my AM. Now, I don't know a ton about affiliate marketing YET, but I do know marketing. It's a game system email submit. I targeted it with a news story of a wrestler dying. That audience is a big game playing market. She did not think it was good to go that way because you are targeting wrestlering fans, not game players. Her point being they weren't there because of the game system...only because they were wrestling fans. I made it clear in the PPC ad what was going on. So although most people don't read I made it more likely for them to know going in. And although a poll like "Xbox vs PS3" would be even more targeted...other audiences (like wrestling fans) share that interest as well. Anyway, any thoughts, good or bad are appreciated. I usually take way too much time to set up a landing page, but I just threw this one up because of a small window and overnight I had a 30% CTR from my LP to the advertiser....but a big fat ZERO leads. http://www.pollsetter.com/test_wwe/testxbox.html
