Billions of years from now the sun will die.

some massive black hole will go supernova several hundred LY away, or meteor or something like that.
there is nothing we can do about it
and for all we know it may have already happened it's just the blast wave (travelling at lightspeed) didn't reach us yet. Good news is that it will take milliseconds so it will not be scary or painful

 

I just think an asteroid or something will hit the Earth, and if that doesn't happen, then eventually the sun will burn out.

I think we'll end up destroying ourselves.

In current circumstances your judgment seems very precise. War against terror has took entire world in its grip. We are killing innocent people in the name of terror.

 

I don't think it's in the name of terror, but I see where your coming from. It's when people become radical over something like religion.
