At first I understood that it was your conversion rate as you get a sale per every 2 clicks lol!

    2:1 ROI is nice :)

    I voted other..

My sales come from my article site I have been building for the last 6 years. I have over 7,000 articles for my niche which brings in hundreds of thousands of unique hits a month from search engines mostly.

I don't submit my articles to other directories, nor use social bookmarking. Social bookmarking can bring in large numbers, but most of that traffic doesn't convert so I find it more productive to utilize the time making more fresh content.

Bum marketing is a waste of time in my opinion. If you are going to write original articles, why would you post them on someone elses site? Post your articles on your own site.. It might be a slower start and you might not get immediate traffic, but if you think long term, a site with 1000 original articles will probably get good organic traffic as opposed to the 5 page views a day once your article gets buried on someone elses site.

Other - I use my own successful viral marketing techniques. Sometimes I wonder off to the PPC arena but that never fairs out too well for me.

Other - I use Youtube marketing, It takes a fair bit of work and a lot of waiting (uploading) But hey it's great if you've got no cash to invest in the saturated PPC market.

I was using PPC Marketing, but it's quite expensive, if you are new to it. I also tried email marketing, but it didn't work for me well. Also I was using free advertising, which brought me few sales, but it's not good enough.

At the moment, I am thinking of some other ways of getting sales.

P.S. Nice poll, I am also interested how people are making sales :)

So do most of you guys write your own Squiddoo's and articles or do you pay people to write them? I'm lazy and have a full time job. I think I'd prefer to pay someone.

Articles are not really effective, so I suppose that people are writing them themselves. They do bring sales, but again, they are not consonant.
