My mom gave me some great advice about business a few years ago:

"You're smart, so you'll be able to beat 10% of your competition with your brain alone. You'll have to outwork the other 90%"

The poll options are limited, but yea, I would love to meet somebody who found making money online "easy".

Well, I think it's safe to say that making money online is not easy.

That's how I was hooked in the first place. Darn those eBooks. They said it would be easy.

    Hard work. Yep.

I make some money, not as much as I'd like to, and not quite as much as I need to either, but I'm getting there. I'm hoping by this time next year I'll be able to pay my bills with online work alone.

It's hard, but it's not impossible.

It's not easy at all but it is fun. Good thing I have a regular job.

I think you nailed it. I hate to sound like my grandmother, but "you get what you pay for" certainly holds true in this scenario. If you commit to your online pursuits as a full fledged business vs. a hobby or learning experience, you are far more likely to succeed. When it comes down to it, the same three ingredients for success are required whether online or in the three dimensional business world; time, effort, and capital.

Time, effort, and capital just about says it all.
