Poll: Does this site look gay?

hm, i think the color is no a good choice for this project - looks at least a bit "girly" to me.
maybe you should try a simple gray instead of plastic-blue (or however you call it). if you place some male icons (pictures of beer cans, fast sport cars or just the playboy logo) somewhere on this page nobody will call it gay again

Btw, someone gave me a -ve comment in my PM. This post wasn't meant to offend anyone. It's meant to collect some feedback so that I can improve on it and fetch a higher price for the sites that I'm creating.
And I think my brain is trying to kill me by telling me to do too much. Target is to launch 5 sites in 5 days. Give it another 5 days to collect feedback and tweak them and I'm set to sell them.
So if I offend anyone here, I'm sorry. Bothered by someone actually feeling sore because of this thread

on the woman's site... it almost looks like a vagina in the top left corner.. was that purposeful?

 

I think it looks fairly "straight" but I must admit that it is a bit too cluttered and you can do better by having slightly better navigation. Maybe you need to ensure that the main links are always at the top or left frame and organise the rest of the data in blocks so that it makes more sense and doesn't confuse users. Also, on the Top articles page, it might pay to have a bit of teaser text under the heading to tempt users to view the full article, for example:

sample text from the article blah blah blah ..... read more

Here is an interesting Law of Publishing that might help settle the question of whether the site looks 'gay' or not.

The Rule goes like this: If you want to target men as your audience show a picture of a gorgeous woman on the cover.

If you want to target women as your audience use a picture of a gorgeous woman on the cover.

So you see the answer of is simple: Put a picture of a gorgeous woman on your site.
