I no longer use it anymore because the traffic is not always targeted and this somehow leads to lower conversion. There are also flaws in the credit system which is not always advantageous to people like myself who don't spend time dropping cards.

I've got a low user number on entrecard.. 26 I think.. So I've watched it grow.. I liked it in the beginning. It was pretty low key and you could get people to do more then spam you with card drops..

Then the friggen contests started when the internet marketers saw that people where actually posting comments on blogs. Sure it was started for all niches. But that flood came in of weekend copy paste marketers.

So yeah I think allot of people abuse it.. I think there is allot of repeat content and that it's become no more then yet another web 2.0 traffic exchange.

With that being said to hell with it :)

But at the same time you have an option to approve/deny your advertisers request so you can easily deny advertisers which are non-targeted.

For which reason they banned you BTW

Only to increase your traffic rankings you can use it or contact there to others for link back.

No affect to your adsense revenue.

You can find cheap adverisers of 125 * 125 add or reviewing posts blog.:)

I found the opposite - EntreCard reduces your AdSense revenue (at least it did mine). I had EntreCard for months and my AdSense clicks did increase, but the revenue tanked as the CPC went down also. I will take 5 clicks at a $1 each over 20 clicks at $.10 each.

So, I just took it off my site. Two great improvements: My site doesn't take 30 seconds to load waiting for the EntreCard widget and my Bounce Rate went down over 20%.

I still use it. It has actually gotten me some good traffic. I suppose it all depends on your content though.

I go back and forth with it. It is a lot like Stumble Upon traffic. However, once in a while I find a little Adsense earnings and I have built a few good connection which has helped in building my freelance writing earnings. I keep it on my site and once in a while I go through and do drops but I don't stress over it.

I removed it. I find doing SEO much more worth it than waiting for several people to drop in.

Thank you all for answering my question. Maybe some of you did not bother to check my blog and vote in my poll there.

The poll is now officially closed but this thread is not ^_^

I used to use it on an old blog, wrote a review on it and basically trashed it. It really doesn't help much for traffic, and what's worse is you have to take up space for 125x125 banner ads that looks like they were designed by 5 year olds. [/rant]

I just left Entrecard last Oct 1 after being an active member for about 11 months, and even made a Farewell post - Farewell Entrecard but Hello to my Blogger Friends.

I must admit, it helped me somehow to gain some loyal followers and friends but bounce rate is really very high. I think this is because more members are interested in getting more points than reading posts.

    No regrets, anyway.
