Maybe we will have to wear a yamulka, dog collar, shayla & gutra before we can hit the keyboards to respond on these threads

Mine are all in the garage I use them as cleaning rags for my classic cars:)

I will put them in the washer to clean them up, so I can wear them while working on the Politics & Religion Forum:)

And they are probably smart enough to stay out of the politics & religion forum. Everyone know one can't win an argument with an idiot and there are plenty of them in that forum.

In regards to the politics & religion forum being a pressure relief valve, most webmaster type forums simply ban such discussions entirely. I personally avoid this forum but every now and then look at a few post because they come up in the "new posts" search and thus far I have found little to nothing redeeming about the Islam vs. Christianity type threads. They always get dragged down to the lowest common denominator. Heck Bush vs. Clinton threads are more likely to remain civil than the Islam vs. Christianity type threads.

I dont want to start this in this thread but no quran never said that kill christians or anybody else. However when you go to war you kill enemy right and thats when quran says kill all who appose you that means who are standing infront of you to kill you. This is that old age when battle was fought with swords infront of everyone :) Also its not very easy to understand Quran and it is very good and thoughtful book and thats the beauty or quran thats why only scholars can determine what it means and people whos mother language is arabic because when you translate no matter how good are you. you lose quality and i hope you cannot disagree with that :)

    PLEASE!

THIS THREAD IS NOT THE PLACE FOR A RELIGIOUS DEBATE. This is only about the appropriateness of allowing unmoderated religious debate. That is why I DID NOT POST THIS THREAD in the politics and religion forum.

How about you Muslims grow the &%$# up and learn to deal with freedom of speech.

In America, we teach our littlest children that words don't hurt.

    Repeat after me:

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

It was just a few months ago that a bunch of Islamist freaks, hearing a rumor that some Kurdish person had said something bad about one of their local Imams -- went to that persons town and burnt it to the ground along with many of its residents.

That hurts. Words, they don't hurt.

Talking good. Murdering people bad. Got it?

P.S. And the same goes for you P.C. liberal freaks!

For those who want an example of a religious forum that is pretty well managed they should look at: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=62

Leave it to a bunch of scientists to manage a relgious forum well.

At the very least moderators/admins here should study how the forums at ScienceForums.net are managed/moderated and emulate them in the politics and religion forum here. It could go a long way to toning things down some here.

I think it's time to ask ourselves What Would Clint Eastwood Do (WWCED)?

Clint would say "I like the libertarian view, which is to leave everyone alone."

In fact, Clint did say that.

Honestly, what Shawn said is true. The only reason we have a politics and religion forum is to have a dumping ground for us to move these pointless/useless/annoying fights too. I don't think any of us (mods/admins) even bother going in there unless a post is reported. Trying to constantly moderate/regulate that forum would be pretty close to a full time job and I sure as hell don't want it ;)...
